Roy Coffman manger of Patagonia Cardiff with his new handplane made from an old Patagonia plaid shirt, complete with button inlay. Roy is a huge supporter and now gets to get barreled in the name of product testing. Someone's got to do it right?
We have been working with the Common Threads folks over at Patagonia to reuse some of their fabric in our handplanes. The project is blowing our minds and we can't wait to do more.
The above handplanes were both created using old Patagonia garments returned to the shops. In the second we didn't even need to use fiberglass as the cloth held so much resin it became extremely strong.
Nellie Cohen of Common Threads, Roy Coffman manager of the Patagonia Cardiff store and Danielle Egge of FCD have all been huge supports. Thank you so much Patagonia for setting standards for reuse and being so supportive of small companies working to make a change!! You guys rock.
